ITALIAN GREYHOUND CLUB OF AMERICA

CH Voici Where There’s Smoke There’s Fire

We have recently acquired an Italian Greyhound puppy. While he probably will be too large to see the inside of a show ring, we are already completely charmed by the breed.  Accordingly, we were anxious to get the results of the Italian Greyhound Club of America’s 2011 National Specialty held earlier this week in Gray Summit MO.

Judge Kim Brinker had over 200 IGs in the regular classes, including more than 50 specials.  Her BISS was the 13 month old dog, CH Voici Where There’s Smoke There’s Fire.  We hope to be seeing “Stormie” at the front of the line in Toy Groups soon.  Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Layle Griffioen Echols.

Additional awards went to GCH CH Agape’ Di Mare Rum for the Border (Best of Opposite Sex), Sadira’s Izat Little Bo Blue (Winners Dog), & GDM Zenyatta at Lakeside (Winners Bitch/Best of Winners).

  1. 200 IG in regular classes by the same breeder? And 50 in the specials by the same breeder? Is this a typo?

  2. I think you read the results wrong. The Nationals judge Kim Brinker (who is an Italian Greyhound breeder) JUDGED an entry of over 200 IGs, with over 50 of those being specials. :) The judge Kim Brinker, did not judge 200 of her own dogs!! ;)
