One place we haven’t visited over the weekend is West Springfield MA where the Albany and Troy Kennel Clubs gave us three shows.

CH Fleet St Fenway Fan

They kicked it off on Friday with the Albany Kennel Clubs first show and Bonnie Linnell Clarke judging the Golden Retriever, CH Tempo's U've Got What Gets Me, the Basenji, CH Wakili Signet Dooney, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Trevi's LoneStar, the Irish Terrier, CH Fleet St Fenway Fan, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash JP Moon Walk, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Firetown's Out Of The Blue, and the Border Collie, CH Sporting Field's B Noble. The first big trophy of the weekend went to the nation’s number one Irish Terrier, Finn. This epitome of fire & flash has now collected five all breed Bests this year.

The Albany KC did it again on Saturday, this time with Robert E Hutton with the Vizsla, CH Renaissance Girls Gone Wild, Firday finalist, the Basenji, the Bullmastiff, CH Briarts Solar Storm Of Tracabull, the Norfolk Terrier, CH Venerie's Regatta Dr. Who, the loan other Friday finalist, the Toy Poodle, the Schipperke, CH De Lamer's Just Wait And Sea, and the Briard, CH Deja Vu Up Close & Personal. And it was lovelier the second time around for the number one Toy Dog, Walker. That’s number 22 this year for the number seven dog all breeds.

On Sunday, it was the Troy Kennel Club & Col. Joe B. Purkhiser’s turn to see the Labrador Retriever, CH Casbar's Hart To Hart, Saturday finalist, the Basenji, the Akita, CH Nakodo's Reign Of Glory, the Welsh Terrier, CH Marydale's Limited Edition, Saturday’s BIS winner, Walker, Dalmatian, CH Blackthorns Flower Power, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Quiche's Demetrius. For the Basenji, third time was a charm, as the three year old bitch picked up her first Best In Show. Congratulations to breeder/owner Tonda L Curry, co-breeder Brenda Cassell, handler Stacy Snyder-Work.

  1. Three year old "itch"? Shouldn't they just scratch it? LOL
