On Sunday, the crown moved to De Kalb for the Greater De Kalb Kennel Club’s two day stand. Piper was back Sunday in Richard Lashbrook’s final as were the Irish Setter and the Standard Poodle. Also asking for consideration were the Irish Wolfhound, CH Highgate’s Andrew Of The Ridge, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Sno Klassic Play The Game, the Yorkshire Terrier, CH Gloveshire’s Allure, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, CH Bleazak’s Blue Nude.

Yesterday, Jay Richardson closed the weekend with prior finalists, the Basset, the Polish Lowland Sheepdog, and the Standard Poodle. Making their first appearance of the weekend were the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, CH Sandbar’s Stock Exchange, the Newfoundland, CH Paladin’s Thomas Jefferson, the Norfolk Terrier, CH Max-Well’s Viper, and the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, CH Galway’s Dark Eyes.
Taking home the remaining big rosette was the big Poodle, Spitfire, her fifth this year. She is one of the six Standard Poodles to win a BIS this year. We were lucky enough to see Spitfire earlier this year. We highly recommend the experience.
