MICHIGAN FINALLY CHECKS IN

We finally have the results from Traverse City MI where the Grand Traverse Kennel Club had a couple of shows this past Saturday and Sunday. We are not sure why it took them so long to tally the results of a 359 count show. After all, the Iranians were able to count 38 million paper ballots in three hours.

CH Star’s Gold Ringer

Nonetheless, we are happy to report that Saturday judge Dennis Kniola’s finalists were the English Setter, CH Kaska’s Capture The Moment, the Borzoi, CH Aurora’s Ajax, the Bullmastiffs, Brude Murbe Samson, the Australian Terrier, CH Benayrr Nessun Dorma, the Shih Tzu, CH Xerlane’s Face The Music, the Lhasa Apso, CH Northwind Nothing But Trouble, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Star’s Gold Ringer.

BIS went to the Australian Shepherd known as James Bond. We believe this was not only his first BIS, but is first Group One. Congratulations to breeder/owner Laura J. Baylis and handler Guy Fisher.

CH Auroral's Ajax

Sunday the English Setter, the Borzoi, the Australian Terrier, and the Lhasa were all joined in Frederick Dewsbury’s final by the Newfoundland, CH Top Shelf’s Rob Roy At Pouch Cove, and the Bouvier des Flandfres, CH Quiche’s Demitrius. And for the Borzoi, Ajax, it was lovlier the second time around. Once again we believe this is his first BIS and Group One. Bravo to breeders/owners Jon & Jennifer Steele.

Once again, we point out that even a small AKC show gives you a chance to see some wonderful dogs.
