TWOFER IN MAINE

Holiday weekends are the time for partying heartily and the dog show double header today in Union ME was a perfect opportunity. This morning judge Sulie Greendale-Paveza chose a Best In Show and Reserve for the Central Maine Kennel Club from the :Pointer, CH Malmason Alydar Little Miss Sunshine JH, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Lacey’s Deck Plate Leader, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Myla N Polis Winter Rose, the Cairn Terrier, GCH CH Caledonian Tea Time of Wolfpit, the Italian Greyhound, GCH CH Maplewood’s The Next Big Thing, the Standard Poodle, Ale Kai Ring The Bell On Fifth, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Collinswood Sparks Fly.

Finishing one/two were the PBGV, Chief, and the Aussie, Ember. Chief would also take the top prize at the Mid-Coast Kennel Club of Maine’s afternoon offering. Challenging Chief for judge Ray Smith’s favor were the RBIS, the English Setter, GCH CH SetR Ridges Legend Of Sleepy Hollow, the above mentioned Siberian & Cairn, the Pug, CH Cassius Passion Juanita Banana, the Keeshond, GCH CH Shainakee’s Abundant Asset Is Mercy, and Ember, the Australian Shepherd. 

The wins were the first BIS of the season for Chief and breeder/owner/handler Juli Lacey-Black. Congratulations to Juli, breeders/owners Donna Bruce & Jill Neuschaefer, and owner Wayne Craigmiles.
