GCH CH Phillmar Superman 

Continuing our paean to the two show weekend we go to Georgetown IL for a report on the Danville Illinois Kennel Club’s shows. Saturday’s BIS was the responsibility of judge Jay Richardson who chose his top two from the Welsh Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Trystyn Statesman Cactus Blue, the Afghan Hound, CH Xandali Bon Vivant, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Phillmar Superman, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, GCH CH Cumhill Hell Raiser, the Bichon Frise, CH Barberry’s Take a Chance on Me, and the Smooth Collie, GCH CH Bandor’s The Wyching Hour. His Best was the Doberman, Steel, and his Reserve, was the Springer, Maddux. It was the fifth BIS of the year for Steel and handler Cindy Lane-Smith.

Sunday judge Chris Walkowicz would see it the other way round naming Maddux her BIS and Steel her RBIS while the same Afghan, StaffyBull, & Bichon, and the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Fist Face A Penny For Your Thought, & the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH McMatt’s Autumn Breeze, looked on. It was the first of the year for Maddux. Congratulations to breeders/owners Meghen Riese-Bassel, Charles Bassel & Sandra Holmes, owners Melanie Helms, Phil Gibson, & Susan B Doss, and handler Ryan Wolfe.
