CH Gravitas MGK Bonita Del Mar
Each Monday we do our Mop Up of the weekend’s shows. A cursory review of our posts might reveal a litany of the exploits of our Top Two Dogs. Indeed this is an extraordinary year with two extraordinary dogs at the top of our spot. However, a closer look will reveal that almost every weekend this year has featured at least one dog collecting his/her first ever Best In Show. Our analysis is this is still very much a wide open game with a wide range of possible winners at every show.
GCH CH Copperridge What’s Your Dream
Illustrating this point is the 21 month old Wire Fox Terrier, CH Gravitas MGK Bonita Del Mar. As we told you Lainey was judge James Fredricksen’s RBIS on Friday at the Durango Kennel Club’s opener in Cortez CO. On Saturday Lainey joined the Brittany, GCH CH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome, the Pharaoh Hound, GCH CH Osiris Cowboy Casanova, the Samoyed, GCH CH Magellans Only Connect, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, CH Miletree Carnival, the Bulldog, GCH CH Dowats The Gladiator, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Copperridge What’s Your Dream, in Paula Hartinger’s final.
GCH CH Magellans Only Connect
Judge Hartinger’s top two were the Aussie, Vivian, and the Samoyed, Linc. It was the second BIS in nine trips to the final ring this year.
GCH CH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome
On Sunday Lainey would be judge Roger Hartinger’s BIS and the aforementioned Brittany, Beckett, would be his RBIS. Rounding out the seven were the above named Pharaoh Hound,
the Doberman, GCH CH Tiburon Djibouti V Rhapsody, the Havanese, GCH CH Yaya Dancing Through Life, the Miniature Poodle, CH Rosebell Pzazz Perfectly Charming, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH Syringa Web of Magic.
Lainey was breeder/owner handled to the win by Kristen Read, finishing the weekend with three Group Ones, one RBIS, and one BIS. Not too bad! Congratulations to Kristen, breeder/owner Gustavo Molinari, and owner Linda McGimpsey.
