Judge Ken Buxton was in Philpot KY on Saturday for the day
one final of the Owensboro River City
Kennel Club. The seven dogs he
considered were the Golden Retriever, GCH Summits Emery It’s In The Bag, the
Scottish Deerhound, CH Cu Liath Swordsman At Dragonsclan SC CGC RN, the
Bullmastiff, GCH CH Dal Primo Magic Moment CGC, the Russell Terrier, CH Appassionato
Jp Monamour’s Star, the Long Coat Chihuahua, GCH CH Mini Cooper (Lamuno), the
Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Rinchen’s Blazing Illusion By Dzine, and the Puli, GCH
CH Cordmaker Topsy Turvey.

Day one went to the Bullmastiff, Blaine, while the Puli,
Charlotte, collected the Reserve award.
It’s the second BIS in six final appearances this year for Blaine and
handler Katie R Martin. Congratulations to Katie, breeder/owner Crystal Corner,
co-breeder, Jeff Townsend, and owner Matt Harwood.

Sunday Blaine and Charlotte were back along with the above
named Chihuahua to plead their cases with judge William Usherwood. Joining them were Pointer, GCH CH Oncore
Mykyna Storm, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Daniel Boon Palaez, the Parson Russell Terrier,
GCH CH Foxbend Colour Me More, and the Keeshond, GCH CH Ruttkay Chance.

Judge Usherwood would like the Kees, Chance, for the BIS and
the Parson, Heidi, for the RBIS. It’s also Chance’s first BIS of the year in
three final attempts. Congratulations to
breeder L Mae Evans, owner Megan McLoughlin, and handler Alan Leff.
Hi Billy! this was actually Blaine's second BIS, as he was awarded BIS in Muncie (Anderson Kennel Club) on August 16th under Australian Judge Louise Door. His Group win on the 25th is his sixth group win this year :))
