The drama continued today in Houston Texas where the Beaumont Kennel Club took over on the biggest day of the five day Reliant Series of Dog Shows.  The drama started early with the Working Group judging where a group full of BIS winners slugged it out.  Judge Robert Schreve would send the spectacular Black Great Dane, GCH CH Longo Miller N Lore Diamond Lil, forward to the final ring, while yesterday’s BIS winner, the nation's Number Two Dog, the Protuguese water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek's Impression de Matisse, left with a Group Two ribbon.

In the Hound Group, the Number Two, Four, & Five Hounds faced off.  Judge Dana Cline considered the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Tells Matrix Reloaded, and the Saluki, GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles of Jatara before sending the Saluki forward.   Bubbles, would join, the Great Dane, Scout, the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Clussexx Collaboration with Traddles, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, the Pekingese, GCH CH Yakee Easily Persuaded, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Saks Winning Card, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Wolf Creek Galaxy of  Merivern, in Charles Trotter’s Final.

GCH CH Yakee Easily Persuaded

Judge Trotter would choose AKC’s Number One Dog all Breeds, the Wire, Sky, as his Best In Show and the Peke, Rodger, as his Reserve.  The win will keep the status quo in the rankings for the moment, but there is still a hefty prize to be taken at tomorrow’s Galveston County Kennel Club show.  Check back with us tomorrow and we will tell you where our Top Dogs stand.
