MERCED, BRIGHTON, & MOSES LAKE

GCH CH Absolutely Talk Of The Town

This afternoon’s report goes out west for results from the last three weeks.  Our first stop is in Merced CA for the Yosemite Kennel Club’s two shows on April 6th & 7th.  The weekend became the coming out party for one of the season’s most promising new comers, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Absolutely Talk Of The Town.  The 17 month old bitch took home both the big rosettes.

GCH CH Tramac Just Watchme Shine

On Saturday Janet Allen chose the Smooth and the Dalmatian, GCH CH Tramac Just Watchme Shine,  as her top two.  Rounding out the final were the Field Spaniel, GCH CH Promenade's Pay It Forward, the Borzoi, GCH CH Majenkir Bookstor Vintage Glamour, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Tiburon Arsenal, the Maltese, GCH CH Richileu Valentino, and the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Kokopelli's SoBe It.

Sunday James R White chose the ingĂ©nue over the Weimaraner, GCH CH  Simpatico Equal Justice, the 13” Beagle, GCH CH Bougain'e Naughty-N-Lovely Alvin, his RBIS, the previously seen Doberman, Gunner, the Pomeranian, GCH CH CR Chase What Matters, the Dal, Bogie, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Kensington's Artful Dodger.

The wins bring to three the number of BIS for breeder/owner/handler Eddie Boyes’ latest hopeful.

GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect

The following weekend we got one of our rare stops in the Mountain Time zone, two shows with the Terry-All Kennel Club in Brighton CO.  The day one final was called by Carl Gomes who had a stellar seven of the German Shorthaired Pointers, CH Ehrenvogel Key to My Heart, the 13” Beagle, Legacy Busch's Bold And Brave, the Boxer, CH Mountaindale N Katydid Into the Wild, the Bedlington terrier, GCH CH Glaurieus Top Supermodelle, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Miletree Northern Star at Shirmont, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Vaje’s Jethrene Bodine, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect.

While fanciers in Colorado were enjoying a Rocky Mountain high, the country’s Number One Non-Sporting Dog, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore, was in Moses Lake WA picking up back2back BIS at the Ephrata-Moses Lake Kennel Club’s two shows.

The six that joined Ally and handler Tim Brazier in judge Polly Smith’s final were the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Clussexx Collaboration with Traddles, the Longhaired Dachshund,
Sleepy Hollow Carolina Special, the Tibetan Mastiff, Dreamcatcher Major Victory Of Loki, the Bedlington Terrier, CH Pine River's Show Me The Money,  judge Smith’s RBIS, the Maltese, GCH CH Maltangel Heavenly Vision, and the Belgian Tervuren, GCH CH Sky Acres Flying Solo.

Ally did it all over again on Sunday, convincing judge Dr Robert Smith to give her the BIS and not the RBIS which went to the Siberian Husky, CH Rybrook's Isabella.  Rounding out his seven were the previously seen Clumber, the Pharaoh Hound, GCH CH Farao Anubis Inferno SC, the Australian Terrier, Benayr Nick of Time, the above named Maltese, and the Rough Collie, CH Tallywood Radioactive.

Ally is currently the Number 23 Dog All Breeds with five BIS.

  1. Interesting note, the Fox Terrier (BIS) and the Dalmatian (RBIS) are both owned by James Smith. You may remember James Smith as the most recent Breeder of the Year announced at Eukanuba in December.
