Nashville is known for its country music stars,  but nearby Franklin TN has drawn several canine stars to its four day Country Music Cluster.  We told you about the Nashville Kennel Club’sThursday opener.  Friday it was the Tullahoma Kennel Club of Tennessee’s turn to host.

GCH CH Lightning Strike El Xargall

Michele Billings had the Friday’s final and the company of the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Torquay Be Nice To Me, the Boxer, CH Hi Tech The King of Sherry Shoot Jp, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shaireab Bayleigh Maid of Honor, the Papillon, Wildfire Uncensored, the Tibetan Spaniel, GCH CH Kan Sing’s Tenzin, and the Briard, GCH CH Lightning Strike El Xargall.

Her BIS was the GWP, Oakley, and her RBIS was the Briard, Thunder.   Oakley was 2012’s Number One Dog All Breeds and is the top winning German Wirehaired Pointer of all time with 88 career Bests.  So far this year Oakley and handler Phil Booth have collected eight BIS in 15 final appearances, including last month’s Westminster Kennel Club final.

  1. Just curious-is the springer the only "big winning" special that retired after Westminster? Seems like every one else is staying out. Any scoop on that?
