The action on the west coast this weekend is in Hanford CA, perfectly
situated halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco along I-5.
The Sequoia Kennel Club opened the four day set, putting
Barbara Dempsey Alderman in the final ring.
Joining here were the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Dogwdcreek's La
Vite E Bella, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Quiet Creek’s Kiss and Tell, the Standard
Schnauzer, GCH CH Steinhaus Maxim Courage RN, the Smooth Fox Terrier, Raybills
Ready to Torumble, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Victory Spencer, the Standard
Poodle, CH Del Zarzoso Salvame From Afterglow, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Kensington's Artful Dodger.

Her Best and Reserve were the Standard Poodle, Dino, and the
Chin, Spencer. It seems appropriate that
the British born Dino pick up a BIS here in the US on the same weekend as
Crufts. It’s the second of the year for
the 2012 AKC/Eukanuba National Champion finalist.
One aside, the two above photos were taken by two of
the talented young photographers we see around our the rings. With ambassadors like these two we can look
forward to our sport flourishing for some time to come.
Ahem, SOME action on the west coast is in Hanford. We also have some GREAT action here in Seattle at the Seattle Kennel Club show.
ReplyDeleteWas going to go today as have not made a show in years but $12 to park and $14 to get in to watch, it is a wonder they have ANY spectators, much less any families!
