GCH CH Lebull's New Hope Wooly Bully
We are still slogging through this past weekend’s results. When we lived in the Golden State one of our favorite dog show destinations was the Silver State, Nevada, Reno to be specific. Reno is know as the “Biggest little city in the world.” Well, we don’t know about that, but we do know we had a lot of fun whenever we went there. While the gambling is pleasant diversion, it is no longer the unique experience it once was. We loved the incredible landscapes, with evergreen forests in one direction and desolate moonscapes in the other. However, the raison d’etre this weekend were the Reno Kennel Club’s two shows.
GCH CH Windemere's Dusting Of White At Pevyne
Saturday’s show drew over 1200 dogs. The seven Gene Mills saw were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Segre's Brown Derby RA BN OA OAJ, the Basenji, GCH CH Jasiri-Sukari Win Tin Tin, the Great Dane, GCH CH Naple TLBK Dana Sanroques Naika Ika Pono, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Friendship Hill Stars And Stripes, the Pekingese, GCH CH Windemere's Dusting Of White At Pevyne, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Lebull's New Hope Wooly Bully, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Rocky L Pennies From Heaven. The two that stood our for judge Mills were his RBIS, the Pekingese Dusty, and his BIS, the Frenchie, Bully. It was the first all breed Best this year for Bully in 15 final appearances. We love a persistent pooch. Congratulations to breeder Sylvia Campbell, owner Alexandra Geremia, and handle Wood Wornall.
GCH CH Blossomhil's Hello Dolly
Bully and Dusty would be back on Sunday to see Nancy Capstick along with the same Springer & Great Dane, the Basset Hound, GCH CH Blossomhil's Hello Dolly, the Miniature Bull Terrier, CH Native Suns Chaos At Kingsmere, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Windrift's Latitude. Closing the set and taking home the top two prizes were the Basset, Dolly, and the Peke, Dusty, who got the Best In Show. Dusty has been lurking in that never never land of the bottom half of the Top Twenty Dogs All Breeds all year. The Number Three Toy Dog has nine BIS this year. Keep an eye on those dogs waiting for an opportunity to move into the Top Ten.
