GCH CH Silveroaks First & Foremost

The Rapid City Kennel Club also hosted four shows this past week in their South Dakota hometown.  You can read about Thursday’s show here.

On Friday it was Don Rogers in the final ring with the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Darkover’s Don’t Dream It’s Over, the Pharaoh Hound, GCH CH Northgate’s As You Like It, the Bernese Mountain Dog, GCH CH Alpenspirit’s Who‘s On First, the Australian Terrier, Nellyson‘s Mr. Don‘t Skip The Zip, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Knolland Amber Moon, the American Eskimo Dog, GCH CH Silveroaks First & Foremost, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Rocheuses Me and My Shadow of Cornus.

It was the Eskimo Dog, Primo, picking up the back2back BIS, his fourth of the year.

Saturday’s Col Joe Purkhiser saw two new dogs, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, and the Border Terrier, GCH CH Meadowlake Whistler at Amberly, along with the above named Springer, Pharaoh, Griff, Eskimo, & Bouvier.  The one he thought Best was the Number One Pharaoh Hound in AKC history, Qing.  The Swedish Import has broken every record for his breed since arriving in the US two years ago and he seems far from finished.  This win was his 31 BIS of the year.  He finished the weekend with his 100th Hound Group First.  That leaves us breathless.

Charlotte McGowan had the final final in Rapid City and her pick of  the previously seen Kuvasz, Griff, & Bouvier, the  Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH West Star Seamus Gunnar MCB, the Greyhound, GCH CH Chaparral Isle of Skye, and the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Kuhl Breeze Lil Less Talk.

The one that impressed her was the Bouvier, Casper.  Casper is the winningest Bouvier in the US with six all breed Bests.
