MONTANA MARATHON BEGINS!

First Summer Sunrise of the Year at Stonehenge

Western civilization has been celebrating the arrival of summer, the Summer Solstice, for 5,000 years at Stonehenge, the iconic stone monument in Wiltshire County, England.

In the dog world we celebrate the Summer Solstice with the first day of the Montana Marathon, a eight day trek across the Treasure State.   The first stop is a three day sojourn in Billings hosted by the Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club.  Everyone will pack up on Thursday afternoon and caravan on up to Great Falls where the Electric City Kennel Club will be set up for two days.  At the end of Saturday, the caravan will hit the road again and head west to Missoula where the Five Valley Kennel Club will serve out the eight days with three shows.

It’s a great way to start the summer vacation.  How can you beat a combination of some of America’s greatest sights and the world’s greatest dogs, the purebred dogs of AKC?
