FORT DODGE KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Happytails Keepin the Faith

Iowa is known to most as the first state in the presidential nomination process, with its February caucuses.  Around here it is know as the last state to report dog show results.

This past weekend the Fort Dodge Kennel Club held two shows in their Iowa hometown.  On Saturday Dr Harry Smith Jr looked over the Parti-Color Cocker Spaniel, CH Chris-Di’s Classic Fair, the Smooth Dachshund, GCH CH Isledox Tractor Tug, the Siberian Husky, Huricane’s Talk Is Cheap, the Welsh Terrier, CH Abbeyrose Jersey Boy, the Pug, CH Patriot’s Running Bull, the Chow Chow, CH Cross B Impressive Willie N, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Limerick’s Shakespeare.

Day one belonged to the three year old Chow, Willie.  It’s the first all breed BIS for Willie.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Janet Burke, co-breeder Kaila Brock, and owner Rissie Bradley.

Sunday Willie and four of his fellow Saturday finalists would be back to Mike Macbeth’s final along with newcomers the Brittany, GCH CH Melridge Stir N’ It Up, and the Harrier, GCH CH Happytails Keepin the Faith.  She chose the Harrier, Deacon.  It’s the first BIS this year for seven year old Deacon.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Wendy S Mccleery and owners Carol & Frank Newman.
