GREAT WESTERN TERRIER RESULTS.

Two of the more important limited breed shows of the season took place this past weekend in Long Beach CA, the Great Western Terrier Association Of Southern California’s two shows.

With over 800 dogs entered each day, this was a great opportunity for both exhibitors chasing majors and campaigners hoping to pick up scarce Terrier points.  Raymond Bay’s top dog on Saturday was the Welsh Terrier, CH Saredon It Had To Be You.  Rounding out the placements were the Norwich Terrier, CH Waiterock Jack Falstaff, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine's Highwayman,  and the Cairn Terrier, Rocco's Collar King Carl XVI Gustaf, in that order.  It's the first AKC BIS for Daisy, a recent British import.  Congratulations to breeder. Judith Aveeris, owner Victor Malzoni Jr, and handler RC Carusi.

Ken McDermott’s four on Sunday were the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Steele Your Heart, the Kerry Blue Perrisblu Kennislain's Chelsey, the Cairn Terrier, GCH CH Malverston Double Dutch, and the above named AmStaff.  The Wire Fox, Eira, has been an all breed threat for a while, picking up 13 Terrier Groups on her way to two all breed BIS.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Torie Steele & Maryann Roma, and handler Gabriel Rangel.

  1. That is not the Welsh terrier that won the group the first day. The one that won was a bitch shown by RC Carusi Ch. Saredon It Had To Be You
