WYOMING VALLEY KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Kontoki's A Bend In The Road

Thanks to a generous, thoughtful exhibitor we now have results from this weekend’s Wyoming Valley Kennel Club shows in the upstate New York town of Alexander.

Saturday Dana Cline chose his BIS from the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Gosling's The Reel Deal, the 15" Beagle, GCH CH Torquay Be Nice To Me, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Kontoki's A Bend In The Road, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Talydale's Friend Of The Force, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Krissy's  Malibu Dreams, the Schipperke, CH Nanhalls Phoenix On Fyre, and the Australia Shepherd, CH Oakhurst Crusin' In Chrome.

He chose the Siberian, Benson.  Benson was the Number One Siberian in 2010 when he had two BIS and 14 Working Group firsts and has been in the top five Siberians for the last three years.  This is his first Best In Show this year.  Congratulations to  breeder breeders/owners Thomas Oelschlager & Marlene DePalma and owners N Wisniewski & J W Guin.

GCH CH Lafford Fly Me Too Falreysbane

Only Benson and the aforementioned Schipperke would return on Friday to Elaine Young’s final, where they would vie with the Irish Setter, CH Tapestry's Pink Petticoat, the 15" Beagle, GCH CH Torquay Midnight Confession, a Smooth Fox Terrier from the Open Bitch class, Absolutly Foxhill Phenomenon, the Papillon, GCH CH Lafford Fly Me Too Falreysbane, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Cedar Creek's Starlight Starbright.

It was the Papillon, Dave, who caught her eye.  It was the third AKC BIS this year for Dave, who was the Number One Papillon in the United Kingdom in 2010.   We hope we get to see this one soon.

  1. I had the privilege to judge "Dave" recently and he is a very deserving dog.
