GET AWAY TO A DOG SHOW

El Morro Fort, San Juan PR

The coming weekend should bring us bigger numbers than last weekend and a couple of opportunities to get away from it all.

In the Northeast we expect lots of dogs and lots of heavy competition in Harrisburg PA where the Lebanon County Kennel Club, the Mason And Dixon Kennel Club , & Harrisburg Kennel Club will start their four days on Friday or you can opt for the two offered by the Providence County Kennel Club and Rhode Island Kennel Club in Providence RI and Warwick RI.  (Why can’t these clubs agree on a common site?  It is such a pain to pull up and move in the middle of a set.)

Down south of Atlanta in Perry GA, the Valdosta Kennel Club will start things off on Thursday with their two shows, followed by the Atlanta Kennel Club’s Saturday offering.  Hound fanciers will stay on through Sunday for the North Georgia Hound Association competition.   Our lone Midwest offering is the two day stop by the Steel City Kennel Club in Crown Point IN.

A central location and the Northeast Oklahoma Kennel Club’s & Bartlesville Kennel Club’s four all breed shows are sure to attract some big numbers to Grove OK starting Thursday.   Texans will be in the state capital for two with the Austin Kennel Club.

Out west we expect the Northern California Terrier Association’s two limited breed shows on Thursday & Friday in Sacramento CA to augment the already large numbers for the weekend’s Sacramento Kennel Club’s two shows.  In the Pacific Northwest the place to be is Moses Lake WA for the Ephrata-Moses Lake Kennel Club’s twofer.

Finally for those seeking a vacation with dogs, try the four shows in Bayamon PR hosted by the Caribe Kennel Club & the Ponce Kennel Club, starting Thursday, or head to Kaneohe HI for a weekend with the Windward Hawaiian Dog Fanciers Association.

  1. So nice to know you can post this crap, but when a dog wins back 2 back best in show you don't even recognize it!! What a crock of SHIT

  2. I will cheerfully recognize all of the finalists of the dogs from the Illinois shows as soon as I can get the results. You know where I can get them?

  3. what harsh languange you used towards billy...how rude. He does this because he wants not because he has to.

Usually when results have not been posted on here it is because he doesn't know who won there. Why don't you poiltley post who won and then he can post it.

    Find a new home...troll!

  4. Why not try looking up the results on the superintendent's site? They've already been posted:

I, too, am more than slightly disappointed that the B2B bests for "Cheese" have yet to be recognized, especially since they were his first and the first for one of his handler's assistants...

  5. I don't a why anyone would think they have the right to address anyone in the manner that "anonymous" did. And, whaht was the point? Did you submit the information to Billy and give him time to include it? If you feel so ugly about this blog, why don't you find another to spend your time on and stop harassing Billy. He does a great job with this blog and alot of us enjoy the heck out of it.

  6. For the record, the superintendent did not post results until this afternoon. While it is true that I spend a lot of time maintaining the blog, I do occasionally stray from my keyboard. You guys in the midwest need to send in results if you expect to have results same day or lest engage superintendents who forward their results to the AKC or post on their websites in a timely fashion. This blog is a free service for the dog fancy, but like most community efforts, you get what you put into it.

  8. @Anonymous 3:57pm-Wow!What language you have. *eye roll* You are impressing no one.If you want to stare at your name or your dogs name repeatedly go to dog show results. If you think you can do a better job start your own dog show results blog and there you can talk about yourself all you want.Billy is doing this out of the goodness of his heart and his love for dog shows. How about you be his assistant in your spare time but I wouldn't want to wish that on Billy or anyone else.

  9. Mr. D-So you are saying that its okay for someone to use such unnecessary language when their dog is not talked about constinently?Grow up and get over yourself. There are thousands of people who show dogs every weekend and their dog never gets mentioned because they don't get a group 1 or go BIS.The first Anon is very lucky that his dog gets talked about and viewed on this website by fellow competitors and judges as it is.He should be happy with that.Billy writes about the shows where his contacts notify him about who wins.If you are the first anon or know that person tell him/her that when their dog gets a group 1 or BIS to notify him someway before they make themselves look like a idiot more than they already have with this unnescessary ranting and raving.

  10. @April 14,2011 6:49pm-So are you saying that its okay to use language like this when trying to get your point across? You don't need to lower ones standards and maturity level to get your point across.He/she could have come on this sight and left a question whether they were going to cover a particular show.Or they could have contacted Billy by his private email. Its left on this screen.
