SUNDAY IN PROVIDENCE RI

GCH CH PalaceGarden Malachy

Both the weather and the competition were daunting this weekend at most AKC venues, but exhibitors persevered and treated fanciers to some of the biggest counts of the season.  The Number One Dog in the US, the Pekingese, GCH CH PalaceGarden Malachy, punctuated the weekend with a big BIS over Top Ten rivals Sunday at the Eastern Dog Club show in Providence RI.

Joining Malachy and owner/handler David Fitz Patrick in Norman Kenney’s final were the Irish setter, GCH CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Basenji, GCH CH Wakill Signet Dooney, the Akita, GCH CH Nakodo’s Reign of Glory, the Irish Terrier, GCH CH Fleet St Fenway Fan, the Standard Poodle, GCH  CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.

Malachy ends the week with an over 1500 point lead on the rest of the Top Ten.  Big counts next weekend assures that the rankings race will continue to thrill the dog world.
