LANCASTER KC

CH Fireside’s Spontaneous Combustion

It was an interesting weekend in the dog show world with National Specialties pulling some of our top rank dogs out of the all breed shows.  As usual, we will be the only show report to connect the dots for you and give you the back story with the placements.  First, we had three shows in Pennsylvania this weekend and we told you all about the Friday and Saturday shows in Ludwig Corners.  On Sunday, our canine competitors were in Lebanon PA to see Tom Hale choose the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, CH Fireside’s Spontaneous Combustion, his Best In Show at the Lancaster Kennel Club event.

His other six finalists were the Greyhound, CH Grand Cru Clos Erasmus, the Samoyed, CH White Magic’s Skyy Vanilla, the Dandi Dinmont Terrier, CH Pennylane Professor Hill, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash JP Moon Walk, the Schipperke, CH Aned’s LeRocher Noir, and the Belgian Sheepdog, CH Sans Broncos Wynonna.  It was a tough day for some of our ranked dogs with Saturday’s BIS winner, the country’s number one Herding Dog, the Bearded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins, failing to get a group placement on Sunday.  The WPG, Buster, and handler Michelle Scott have been sprinting up the rankings the past few weeks and are now in the Top Twenty Dogs All Breeds.
