IT GETS HOT IN GEORGIA

CH Cragsmoor Buddy Goodman

There were four all breed shows this week in Perry GA and many of our top dogs were there seeking to mine the point rich cluster.  You may remember we told you that the US’ Number One Dog All Breeds, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, took Thursday’s BIS.  On Friday the host club was the Southeast Alabama Kennel Club, the BIS judge was Roger Hartinger, and the final seven were the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Star K’s Mile Hi Valentine, the Whippet, CH Karasars Par Excellence,  the Pug, CH Riversongs Broadway Joe, the Lhasa Apso, CH My Thai Ta Sen Halleluiah Chorus, and the Rough Collie, CH Gentrys Braveheart.  Best was the Skye, Buddy, his tenth all breed top prize this year.

CH PalaceGarden Malachy

Saturday, Maxine Beam would see a whole new seven in the final ring of the Macon Kennel Club, the Golden Retriever, CH Sunjoie N Woodland Anyway U Slice It, the Afghan Hound, CH Genesis Silverado, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Alpenspirits Lion King, Our Number One Dog, the Smooth Fox, Dodger, the Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Schipperke, CH Dante Fire When Ready and the Australian Shepherd, CH Mysharas Dream Girl.  Her Best was the nation’s Number One Toy Dog, the Peke, Malachy.  That’s lucky number thirteen for Malchy and owner/handler David Fitzpatrick.

CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice

Sunday, the Macon Kennel Club would close it out with Jerry Watson and the aforementioned GWP,  Afghan, Bernese, Smooth Fox & Australian Shepherd and the Shih Tzu, CH Hallmark Jolei Austin Powers & the Standard Poodle, CH Jasets Satisfaction.   The Smooth Fox, Dodger, & handler Amy Booth would show everyone why they are the number one duo in dogdom, taking home their 24th top prize of the season.   It was a 2000 point weekend for Dodger, allowing him a little distance from the rest of the Top Ten.
