JUST BACK FROM JACKSON

CH GrandCru Clos Erasmus &
handler Rindi Gaudet

We took a sabbatical from the keyboard for a few hours today to go up Jackson TN for the Clarksville Kennel Club show.  As always, we had a great time visiting with our fellow dog show junkies.  We also had a short chat with BIS judge Michele Billings to thank her for getting us hooked on dog shows.  Search our archives for our inaugural post, Dog Show Junkie, for the full story.
Jackson, about half way in between Memphis and Nashville, is hardly a major metropolitan area, but it drew some of the best dogs in the US.  Michele Billings' final included the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Bracon’s Leapin’ Lily Pads, the Greyhound, CH GrandCru Clos Erasmus, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Envy Me Royalwoods V Schohaus, the Norwich Terrier, CH Skyscots Poker Chip, the Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Frency Bulldog, CH A'Vigdors Caudataire Du Roi Tunnrat's El Che (we did not make that one up), the German Shepherd Dog, CH Shoal Creek’s Sangria V Barick.  Her Best was the Greyhound, Era, her second in three days.  We had a chance to visit with Era and breeder/owner/handler Rindi Gaudet before the breed judging today and we were impressed at the bond between the two.  If you want to know what makes a great show dog watch these two.
