Tonight we caught a repeat broadcast of the Mid-Del-Tinker Kennel Club’s show of this past June. That night’s BIS was the nation’s number one dog, the Scottish Terrier, CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot. Among the other finalists was the Standard Poodle, CH Dawin Spitfire.
Each has shown up in the final seven in Costa Mesa the past two days and each has taken home a big rosette. Today they met again in William Cunningham’s final on day one of the Malibu Kennel Club’s two shows. Joining them were the Golden Retriever, CH Toasty’s Treasure Island, a Saluki all the way from Sweden, Swedish CH Shiraz California Dreamin', the Kuvasz, CH Szumerias Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the Brussels Griffon, CH Cashin’s Walk The Line, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Maplecreek Back in Black.
So far it’s been the big Poodle, Jetta, taking BIS on Friday, and the Scottie, Sadie, winning Best on Saturday. Today it was Jetta’s turn again. Remember what we said about not betting the lunch money. And keep an eye on that Saluki.
