WEEKEND CATCH UP ONE

It’s a Monday morning and that means it’s clean up time. We’ve been doing our best to give you show reports as they come in, but we often only get partial results and, sometimes, alas, erroneous reports. So add these details to the reports from the past few days.

CH Quiet Creek’s Mi Amor

On Friday just past, on day one of the DFA of Oregon show, the herding group winner was the Shetland Sheepdog, CH Paray Cirque Du Soliel. Coming in second in that group was last year’s number one Herding Dog. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Coventry Vanity Fair. Also on Friday, down in southern California at the Simi Valley KC in Ventura, the English Setter, CH Artizoe High Caliber, the Bloodhound, CH Quiet Creek’s Mi Amor, the Boxer, CH Ein-Von's Just A Rumor, the Tibetan Terrier, CH Players Protocol, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Tiwa Josh De La Salsa, all won their respective groups.

CH Rhapsody's Too Many Remarks

On Saturday, In Rosenberg TX, Judge Virginia Lyne, gathered the English Springer Spaniel, CH Capulet's Innovation, the Afghan Hound, CH Symphony's Peacemaker JC, the Mastiff, CH Quietwood Chances R, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Hi-Kel Terrydale Soldier Of Fortune, the Maltese, CH Rhapsody's Too Many Remarks, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Chaoyang's Chick Magnet At Asia, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Bugaboo's Georgie Girl, for consideration. She eventually chose the bobtail as her BIS.

We had already reported that the Pomeranian, CH Velocity’s Shake Ur Bon Bon, went BIS Saturday at the Greenville MS KC show down on the delta, but we did not tell you the final included last year’s top ASCOB Cocker Spaniel, CH Lydgate‘s Rise ’N’ Shine and 2008 top Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Afterglow Ebeneezer, as well as the Giant Schnauzer, CH Seven Seas Auroras Adonis, the Miniature Bull Terrier, CH Diers Gabrielle Of Brownstone, the French Bulldog, CH Raindrops Justus Lifes A Game, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, CH Spotlight Jamboree.

CH Belle Creek's I Love Lucy

We told you that the Bichon Frise, CH Belle Creek's I Love Lucy, went BIS on day one of the Oakland County KC in Detroit MI Saturday, but we did not tell you that temperatures hovered at near zero INSIDE the building when then opened the doors Saturday. However things were warmer by the time BIS Judge Vincent Grosso got to see the Golden Retriever, CH Goldentrip Snow Dream, the Saluki, CH .Z'Bee Che Bellina Dante, the Samoyed, CH White Eagle's Celestial Sky, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Smywyre Sudden Impact, the Pomeranian, Whitehabors Dubbed Desparado, and the Shetland Sheepdog, CH Norwood Nenana.

CH Sasquehanna Malinnik Ponadto

It wasn’t much warmer Saturday in Des Moines IA at the Central Iowa KC show, but Judge Jean Fournier put up the well coated Polish Lowland Sheepdog, CH Sasquehanna Malinnik Ponadto, over some hot competition including the Gordon Setter, CH Bryce Brodie Of Macrae, the Basset Hound, CH Topsfield Vision Silver Noodle, the Boxer, CH Lattalanes Kiss Me Im Irish, the Norfolk Terrier, CH Max-wells Viper, the Brussels Griffon, CH Cileine Masquerade, and the Bichon Frise, CH Bibelots Purple Heart O' Mine.

We will catch you up on Sunday in the next post.

  2. I haven't been boycotting Bichons, the judges have. You think, that's bad. There has only been one Cairn (my breed) BIS in the last three years :-(
