The lucky spectators at today's San Mateo Kennel Club in San Mateo CA saw two of the highest scoring dogs in history face off in judge Peter Baynes's BIS ring, the Giant Schnauzer, CH Galilee's Pure Of Spirit, and the Pointer, CH Cookieland Seasyde Hollyberry. The Giant, Spirit, had held the top spot in the rankings most of the year, but had been passed by the Pointer, Holly, earlier in December, but today, after what surely must have been the longest three weeks ever for her team, Spirit and handler Taffe McFadden regained the number one spot with a BIS win today. Congratulations to all. Now the question is, can they win one more to hold off the Pointer?
