HOUSTON FINALE

GCH CH Claircreek Impression de Matisse

It’s all over in Houston, except the number tabulating, as the Galveston County closed the five day stop in that Texas city.  We did not get another head to head matchup between the Number One and Number Two Dogs All Breeds.    Yesterday, the Number Two Dog, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek Impression de Matisse, was blocked from the final seven by the Great Dane, GCH CH Longo Miller N Lore Diamond Lil, and the Number One Dog, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, went on to Best In Show.

GCH CH Yakee Easily Persuaded

Today Sky was blocked from Chuck Winslow’s final by the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Good Time Charlie, and Matisse went on to collect his second BIS of the stop.   Joining Matisse and Charlie in the BIS ring were the Pointer, GCH CH Chesterhope’s State of T Art, the Saluki, GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles of Jatara, the RBIS, the Pekingese, GCH CH Yakee Easily Persuaded, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect.  Matisse’s 44th BIS will cut Sky’s lead to less than 9,000 points, still a very substantial margin.

Apart from our top two there were several other Top Twenty Dogs in Houston.  Although none of them took a BIS, many picked up enough points in the large groups to substantially improve their rankings.  We will have all our numbers up to date by Friday.  Check back with us and we will tell you who’s up and who’s down.
