CAMBRIDGE MINNESOTA RESULTS

There were four shows in Cambridge MN this past week.  We did give you a report on Thursday’s Anoka County Minnesota Kennel Club.  Here’s the rest of the Minnesota results.

GCH CH Ayrwen Star Kissed Delight

Friday was the ACKC’ day two show and they asked Dan Cline to take the judge’s book,  His seven up for consideration were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the Whippet, GCH CH Kamada’s happy Hour, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Huntwoods Joy Ride Of Moorcroft, the Smooth Chihuahua, GCH CH Ayrwen Star Kissed Delight, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Vogel flight’s “Honor” to Pillowtalk, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv Gambolon Blue Thunder.

He went with the smallest among them, the Chihuahua, Dee Dee.  Dee Dee. The only Smooth Coat Chihuahua to win a BIS this year, now ahs four on 2011.

The hometown Cambridge Minnesota Kennel Club took over Saturday and ended the day with W Everett Dean Jr’s final.  His mostly new seven were the English Setter, GCH CH Stargazrn Wingfields Wait Wait, the Saluki, CH Baywatch Babe Agrani, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Cambrias It Must Be Fate, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Huntwoods Joy Ride Of Moorcroft, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Knolland Amber, the Keeshond, GCH CH Karolina Bonnyvale Meant To Be, and the previously mentioned OES.

Again it was the smallest among them the Griff, Lainey, taking home the big rosette.  Winner of this year’s American Brussels Griffon Association’s National Specialty.  it’s the eleventh final appearance for Lainey and handler Scott Kip and their first BIS this year, Congratulations to Scott, breeder Luc Boileau, and owners Beverly Wyckoff. Carl Ginsberg, & Susan Kipp.

GCH CH Cambrias Must Be Fate

Stan Zielinski completed the stay on Sunday with the earlier named Black Cocker, Norwich, & Bichon, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Xeralanes Supersonic, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Cambrias Must Be Fate, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, CH We Syng Royal Etiquette, and the Border Collie, GCH CCH Sporting Fields Heiress.

The big dogs had their day with the Doberman, Karma, picking up her first BIS.  Barely two years old, Karma has been a regular finalist these past few months, with five appearances since April.  Congratulations to breeders Anne White & Sheila & Dr Anthony DiNardo, and owners Ann & Jim White & Glen Lajeski.

CLACKAMAS KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH BigDogFarm Oh My Baby Huey

The Clackamas Kennel Club ‘s two shows in Canby OR this weekend were among the largest we saw this week.

Saturday’s entry topped 1800 and the seven asking Richard Lashbrook for consideration were the English Setter, CH Winchester's Taylor Made JH, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline's Chanel, the Newfoundland, GCH CH BigDogFarm Oh My Baby Huey, the Cairn Terrier, Cook's The Chronicles Of Riddick, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Full Of Malarkey Miles Of Aisles, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Paray's Power & Priviledge, and the Belgian Tervuren, CH Sky Acres Flying Solo.

BIS was the Newfoundland, Huey.   It’s the first for the four year old this year.  Congratulations to Breeder Andrea Cook, owners Lee & Rick Cole.

Sunday Anne Fleming saw the same Whippet, Newfoundland, & Bichon, the Pointer, CH Coralwood Wynot Step Up To The Plate, the Bedlington Terrier, CH Pineriver Show Me The Money and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, CHC C-Myste Baledwr Free To Disagree.  She chose the nation’s Number Nine Dog All Breeds, the Whippet, Chanel.  Chanel 15th BIS of the year could net enough points to move her up to the eighth spot.

MONTANA MARATHON CONTINUES

We have neglected the Montana Marathon these past few days.  So let’s catch you up.  When last we checked in with our band of doggy gypsies they had just left Billings for Great Falls and the Electric City Kennel Club’s two shows.

Friday’s final was called by James Reynolds.  The seven hoping to catch his eye were the English Setter, GCH CH Oakley’s B’Dazzled, the Pharaoh Hound, GCH CH Northgate’s As You Like It, the Boxer, R and G’s Mystical Dancer, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek, the Chih Tzu, GCH CH Xeralane’s Eye of the Storm, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore, and the Shetland Sheepdog, CH Mistybrooks Panda Crossing.

His BIS was the Pharaoh Hound, Qing.  Qing, the Number One Hound in the US, now has 22 big rosettes this season.

GCH CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek

Day two was Joann Dutton’s turn to choose the best In Show and she chose from the above named Pharaoh Hound, Boxer, Smooth Fox, & Standard Poodle, the Weimaraner, GCH CH Silhouette’s LifeInTheFastLane, the Pekingese, GCH CH Dunkirk’s Copy Right, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Enchanted’s American Thunder. 

Her Best was the Smooth Fox, Adam.  Adam is currently the country’s Number One Terrier with ten BIS.

Sunday the whole crowd reconvened in Missoula MT for the Five Valley Kennel Club’s three shows.  Day one’s final featured Dr Robert Smith going over the return finalists the Weimaraner, the Smooth Fox, & the Standard Poodle.  Whippet, GCH CH Endeavor’s White Roses on Nysa Hill, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Marienburg’s Maserati at Northstar, the Pomeranian, GCH CH CR Simply Irresistible, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Rocheuses Me and My Shadow at Cornus.

It was the Doberman, Tess, picking up her first BIS.  Just two year’s old we expect to see more of this beauty.  All we have right now is the puppy photo, but she was a gorgeous puppy, yes?  Congratulations to breeder/owner Lisa Carnes and co-breeder Mary Rodgers.

GCH CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore

Yesterday, judge Timothy Doxtater’s lineup included the aforementioned Weimaraner, Pharaoh Hound, Boxer, Smooth Fox, Standard Poodle, & Bouvier, and the Maltese, GCH CH Rhapsody’s Regarding Henry.  His Best In Show was the Poodle Ally.  The win, her 24th this year, will giver her sole possession of the Number Two Dog All Breeds spot.

The eight day trek wraps up today in Missoula with the day three show of the Five Valley KC.

VALAPARAISO IN DAY THREE TO FIVE

One of the largest clusters this week was in Valparaiso IN where there were five shows.  We have already reported out on last Wednesday’s Michiana Kennel Club event & Thursday’s Valparaison Kennel Club show.

Edd Bivin had the VKC’s day two final on Friday.  He chose his BIS from the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Summits Emery Its In The Bag, the Basset Hound, GCH CH Fort Merrill Topsfield Yahoo, the Samoyed, GCH CH Glacier's N Rowdy's Czargent Trouble, the Australian Terrier, GCH CH Kambara's Zebulon, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Austin Powers, the Boston Terrier, GCH CH Ken's N' Roobarb N" The Horse Ya Rode In On, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Equinox Ad Astra.

He chose the Shih Tzu, Austin.  Austin is on a summer roll with three BIS in the last six weeks.

The MKC’s day two show on Saturday featured Arley Hussin’s final with the previously mentioned Golden, the Greyhound, GCH CH GrandCru Clos Erasmus, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Indigo Synama Wood Imp, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Brightluck's Prancing Pirate JE, the Shih Tzu, Austin, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Ri Lee’s Diamonds Are Forever, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Aryakas Hermes.

BIS went to the Golden, Chloe. Chloe has four big rosettes this season, all within the last 60 days.

Murrel Purkhiser and the Berrien Kennel Club closed out the set on Sunday.  The seven final finalists were the above named Greyhound, Siberian, & Shih Tzu, the Golden Retriever, CH Chateau's Think Big, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Jennycreek Lord Bacchus, the Irish Terrier, GCH cH Sugarbush’s American Girl, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Glren Oaks Firekeeper's Gambler, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Bandheim’s Captain Crunch.

The fifth day Best In Show was the Greyhound, Era.  Era has been one of the season’s most consistent finalists with 21 Hound Groups to date yielding three all breed BIS.

DAYS TWO & THREE IN ORLANDO FL

Floridians were treated to three days of shows in Orlando this past week.  You can read about Friday’s Brevard Kennel Club show here.

The rest of the weekend was dominated by the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, who copped the top prizes at both Saturday’s Central Florida Kennel Club & Sunday’s Space Coast Kennel Club Of Palm Bay.  Saturday judge Dr Wanda Spediacci chose Classie over the Pointer, GCH CH Solivia's Kalahari of Marsuz, the 13” Beagle, CH Skyline’s Dream Big, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Cammcastle’s My Gigolo, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Buddy Goodman, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Hightide Eclipse, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, CH Telltail Like a Rolling Stone.

Sunday Classie and owner/handler Armando Angelbello were accompanied in Stephanie Hedgepath’s final by the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Edgewood Casino Celebrity, the Whippet, GCH CH Karasar’s Masterpiece, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Skansen’s Holy Knight, the aforementioned Skye & Poodle, and the Puli, GCH CH Cordmaker Rumpus Bumpus.

The wins bring Classie’s 2011 resume to eight BIS, half of which have come in the last five weeks.  That should improve the rankings a bit.

It’s Monday Morning Mop Up time and we will start with another club that practices that secret catalog thing.  You know, withholding the on line catalog in the hopes you might sell another $50 worth of printed catalogs, even though it’s gonna cost you $500 in next year’s entries.

The Virginia Kennel Club passed the weekend in Richmond VA and the weekend belonged to the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, who swept both of the VKC’s shows On Saturday Scarlett was joined by the English Cocker Spaniel, CH Brasswinds Roadracer At Warwick, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Wheatridge’s Pecan Sandie, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Bayleigh Shaireab’s Passion, the Pug, GCH CH Kenshei And That’s The Way It Is, the Bichon Frise, CH Vogelflight’s Taywyn Tarragon, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Brookridge Pop Secret.

Sunday Scarlett and handler Diego Ferrnando Garcia bested the ASCOB Cocker Spaniel, CH Kaplar's I Got Rythym, the 15” Beagle, CH Lochnow Something Good, the Sealyham Terrier, GCH CH Efbe’s Goodspice Easy Money, the above named Pug, the Dalmatian, Troika Nspird Magical Thinking, and the Border Collie,
Hamilton’s Drummer Boy.

Scarlett, the nation’s Number Four Dog All Breeds, now has 71 career BIS, 17 of which have come this year.

MACOMB KC DAY TWO

The Macoomb Kennel Club’s day two show in Armada MI ended with Ken Rayner mulling over the Spinone Italiano, GCH Klondike's Frederico Ilario, the Ibizan Hound, CH Serandida Shadow On The Moon, the Leonberger, Ludwick's Belle Von Drea, the Sealyham Terrier, CH Thunder Rd Hollywood Nites, the Maltese, CH Scylla’s Small Kraft Re-Lit, the Lowchen, CH Touche's Undercover Agent Rainbow, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Quiche's Grand Finale.

His BIS was the 19 month old Maltese, Hank.  It’s his first,  Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Tara Martin Rowell, co-breeder Vicki Abbott, and owners Debbie Burke & Ron Scott. 

WAYNESBURG PA DAY FOUR OF FOUR

The Mountaineer Kennel Club asked Martin Dougherty to take the last ring in Waynesburg PA.  His seven were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Cerise Tender is the Night, the Afghan Hound, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Gamegards Rhythm of the Rain, the Norfolk Terrier, GCH CH Cracknor’s Cross the Ts, the Papillon, GCH CH Lafford Fly Me Too Farlysbane, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Hillwood Ale Kai Anthony, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Bon-Clyde’s Take One.

Taking home the last big rosette of the stop was the Papillon, Dave.  It’s the fourth BIS this year for the British import.

CUMBERLAND ME DAY FOUR OF FOUR

Carl Gene Liepman had the last word in Cumberland ME today.  His seven finalists at the day two show of the Penobscot Kennel Club were the Flat Coat Retriever, GCH CH Meadowrue Knight of Quillquest , the Borzoi, GCH CH Greyhaven Wizard‘s Crystal, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Moncusser Follow the Fleet, a Bedlington Terrier, GCH CH Notice Northern Lights, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Kavalor Fenway Park, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Riverside’s The Sisters, and the Briard, CH Ne Orageux’s Al Capone.

Picking up the last BIS of the set was the Briard, Capone.  This is first this year for Capone.  Congratulations to breeders/owners William & Rebecca Webber & C Moore, owners Merry Jeanne Millner & Tommy Millner, and handler Joan Scott.

STATEN ISLAND KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Ruffian’s Spotlight

New Yorkers finished up their four day weekend with a one day stop in Staten Island NY with the hometown Staten island Kennel Club.  Susan St John Brown’s finalists today were the Irish Setter, GCH Greengate’s The Boss at Beaubriar RN, the Norwegian Elkhound, GCH CH Sommerri Dunharrow’s Devil Ray, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Snocrest's Leone Di Oro, the Glen of Imaal Terrier, GCH CH Coleraine’s Mandalay Royalty, the Pug, GCH CH Foursquare I’ll Be a Shostopa Tu, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Ruffian’s Spotlight, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Xtacee Dancin in the Moonlight.

Her BIS was the Dalmatian, Ian.  Ian and handler Michael Scott just picked up their first all breed Best last month and now have two.  We think there will be another soon.
