THE FLORIDA MARATHON BEGINS

The Clearwater Kennel Club kicked off the Florida Marathon, a twelve show, 17 day stop in Ocala FL today.  Ron Menaker’s final was chock full of familiar faces from last year, the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Tells Matrix Reloaded, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Chancellor Flirt's Hi Flyin' Gladiator, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J’Cobe Broxden Danea, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Rd Glare, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts On Fire, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Wolf Creek Galaxy Of Merivern.

Taking home his first BIS of the year was 2012’s Number One Dog, the GWP, Oakley.  Reserve went to the MinPin, Classie.  Oakley and handler Phil Booth finished last year with 73 BIS.  Congratulations to Phil, breeders Claire Wisch, Kelly Wisch, & Helen George, and owner Victor Malzoni Jr.
