If you couldn’t be here in Portland OR trying to get a piece
of the action, the next biggest prize was in Novi MI. Here’s what’s been happening the last two
days.
On Saturday the Oakland County Kennel Club put Tim Catterson
in the final ring with the English Setter, GCH CH Stargazr'n Wingfield Time
Will Tell, an Afghan Hound from the classes, Xandali Bon Vivant, the Standard Schnauzer,
GCH CH Blackhawk Finnegan’s Wake, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Gordon’s Bite of
the Apple, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Bells Will Be Ringing, the Schipperke,
GCH CH Dante Fire When Ready HOF, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Grandgables
The Frat Boy.
The two he liked were the Afghan Hound and the Wire Fox. The 20 Month old Afghan takes home almost
1800 points and a shot at be a major player this year. Congratulations to breeders Floyd Gale Jr, Anthony
A Saia, & Lex Robertson, owners Charles Fairleigh & Lex Robertson, and
handler Lisa Bettis.
GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles of Jatara
Only Willy, the Shih Tzu, would return on Sunday to see BIS
judge Dana Cline. Also pleasing their
case were the Weimaraner, GCH CH Doc N Camelot's Heaven Can Wait, the Saluki,
GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles of Jatara, the Bernese Mountain Dog, GCH CH Avatars
Smooth Criminal, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Goldsands Columbus, the Standard
Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, and the Icelandic Sheepdog, GCH CH
Bjarkarkots Hroi Hottur Luke MX AXJ OF.
GCH CH Doc N Camelot's Heaven Can Wait
The ones who were heard were the Saluki, Bubbles, who got
the BIS, and the Weimaraner, Nash, who
got the RBIS. Bubbles finished 2012 as
the Number One Saluki and Number Five Hound with nine BIS and 53 Hound Groups. Congratulations to breeder Kathleen Morton,
owners Sandra Middlebrooks, Jackie Harrington, & Sara Winsted, and handler
Erin Roberts.
