We begin our Monday Morning Mop Up in the Heartland where
the Central Iowa Kennel Club hosted two shows in Des Moines IA. On Saturday BIS judge Jon Cole selected his
Best and Reserve from the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Summits Emery It’s in the
Bag, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Hundeleben Queens Amada SL, the Rottweiler,
CH Steinplatz Just Incredible, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH High Mountain
Everso in Command, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Xela's Party Hat, the Bichon
Frise, GCH CH Vogelflight’s “Honor” to Pillowtalk, and the Bearded Collie, CH Daybar
For Your Eyes Only.
GCH CH Vogelflight’s “Honor” to Pillowtalk
Day One saw the Golden, Chloe, take the BIS and the Bichon,
Honor, take the RBIS. It’s the second of
the year for Chloe and breeder/owner/handler Beth Johnson.
GCH CH Nexus Total Eclipse
Only Honor and the Longhaired Dachshund, Cheese, would be
back on Sunday for Charlotte Patterson’s final.
Joining them were the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Nexus Total Eclipse, the
Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the Norwich Terrier, GCH
CH Skyscots Texas Hold’Em, the Havanese, GCH CH Marcosa's Slip Slidin' Away Of
Skyline, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH McMatt's Autumn Breeze.
Packing up the top two prizes were the Bichon, Honor, and
the Clumber, Eli. Honor was 2012’s
Number One Bichon and Number Five Non-Sporting Dog with six BIS and 69 Group
Ones. Congratulations to breeders/owners
