PUG DOG CLUB OF AMERICA

GCH CH Hill Country's Tag I'm It

While the all breed action in Northern California was intense this past week, there were also a plethora of specialties as well.  The Pug Dog Club of America was in San Jose CA all week for their national specialty, wrapping things up on Saturday with the Best of Breed judging.

Breeder/judge Lorene Vickers-Smith got to see the 56 dogs competing for the Best In Specialty Show.  Her BOB was the Pug wunderkind, GCH CH Hill Country's Tag I'm It.  Our DO2WATCH, JJ, has been collecting rave reviews from judges and spectators since taking BACK2BACK BIS in upstate New York in May at the tender age of 13 months.

Other major awards included the Best of Opposite Sex which went to GCH CH Reiki's Sunni Side Up, the Winners Dog going to Riverview’s Mr Rocket J Squirrel, and the Winners Bitch/ Best of Winners going to Clifford's Lizzy N A Tizzy (from the Puppy classes).

JJ’s owner, Carolyn Koch, was also named PDCA Breeder of the Year.  Our congratulations to Carolyn, JJ’s breeders  Kristy and Kevin Ratliff, and handler Barry Clothier.

  1. Barry is the best and hottest handler around. I like watching him more than the dog.
