As we said earlier, the country’s Number Dog, the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Chamgne Supernova, started his week in Biloxi MS, picking up both the BIS at the Singing River Kennel Club of Mississippi’s two shows on Thursday & Friday.   Peyton and handler Robin Novack continued their defense of their ranking in Greeley CO at Saturday’s Evergreen Colorado Kennel Club show.

Also looking for Betty-Ann Stenmark’s favor were the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli, the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, GCH CH Derby’s X Mark the Spot, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Cashnross First Griff Tina Fey, the Keeshond, GCH CH Jen’ndis Lyrical Dream for Jo-Lyn, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Rocheuses Me and My Shadow of Cornus.   Peyton would grab his third consecutive Best In Show while the country’s Number Four Dog, the Wire, Sky, got the Reserve.

Peyton, Sky, the Afghan, Mowgli, & the Griff, Tina Fey, would all try again on Sunday with Larry Terricone.  Joining the party were the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the Keeshond, GCH CH Windrift’s Money Maker, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Lonestar’s Margarita Rose.

The two standing in the center of the ring at the end of the day were the RBIS, the Keeshond, Bill-E, and the BIS, the Afghan, Mowgli.  Mowgli continues to be one of the most consistent dogs out there with ten all breed Bests in just 23 final appearance, in limited showing.  For all of you who think a breeder/owner/handler can’t win, talk to Jay Hafford.
