GCH CH Penndragon Owain

West Coast fanciers had their choice of two venues for a show this weekend.  One was in the Northern California town of Petaluma where the Redwood Empire Kennel Club offered two shows.  On Saturday, the seven who made it through to see BIS judge Francine Schwartz were the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Robin Crest Great Expectations, the Whippet, GCH CH Fanfare’s Cordova At Runners, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Steinhaus Maxim Courage RN, the Miniature Schnauzer, GCH CH Allaruth Just Kidding v Sole Baye, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Quail Garden Loch Lomond déjà vu, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Penndragon Owain, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Mariel’s Harvest Moon.

Her RBIS was the Standard Schnauzer, Max, and her BIS was our DOG2WATCH, the Standard Poodle, Owen.  We are pleased to see Owen with his fifth BIS this year.

GCH CH Hatch Tillie de la Salsa

On Sunday, Only Owen would be back for a second round.  Joining him in Melinda Lyon’s final were the Irish Setter, GCH CH Kilbane Enchanted Forest, GCH CH Harehill’s Ace in the Hole, the Great Pyrenees, GCH CH Framboise Something Ventured Something Gained, the Irish Terrier, CH Rockledge McCallen Of Heath, the Japanese Chin, Victory’s Spencer, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Hatch Tillie de la Salsa.

CH Rockledge McCallen Of Heath

It was the Irish Terrier, McCallen, with the Reserve, and the Bouvier, Hatch, with the Best In Show.  Hatch and handler Larry Fenner head into the last quarter of the season with six BIS, three in the last 15 days.
