Life is leisurely down on the bayou, but waiting a week for show results is pushing it a bit.  From Bossier City LA we have these results from last week.   It all started Thursday with the day one show of the Shreveport Kennel Club which ended with Elaine Mathis in the final ring with the English Springer Spaniel, CH Cerise Dixieland Duchess, the Redbone Coonhound, GCH CH Sidearm Jungle King Mufasa, the Samoyed, GCH CH Polar Mist Cruz'n T'Party At Zamosky, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Hi-Kel Terrydale Fortune Forward, the Maltese GCH CH Scylla's Small Kraft Re-Lit, the Keeshond, CH Ashbrook Mr Chairman, the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Vinterra´s Cause For Applause.

Day one went to the Maltese, Hank.   That’s four this year for the country’s Number One Maltese.

The SKC did it again on Friday, this time with Gay Dunlap choosing the BIS.  Her options were the Pointer, CH Seasyde Edgehill Heart Of Gol, the Borzoi, GCH CH Wildwood Fiery Run Out Of My Dreams, the above named Samoyed & Lakeland, the Pekingese, GCH CH Benaires N Elphasuns Razzmatazz, the Tibetan Spaniel, GCH CH Shilo Here for a Good Time, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Borderfame Signature.

It was the Sammie, Cruz, picking up his second BIS of the year  Both of Cruz’ two BIS have come in the last month.

The rest of the weekend belonged to the D’Arbonne Kennel Club and the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt. View's Ripsnorter Silver Charm, who went home with both the Saturday & Sunday BIS. Saturday Denny Mounce chose Oakley over the Whippet, GCH CH Bo-Bett’ s Speed Demon, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Chancellor High Flyin Gladiator, the aforementioned Lakie & Maltese, the Dalmatian, CH Cottondale Timelessdals Fools Gold, and the Old English sheepdog, GCH CH To-Jo’s Sweet Tune Lanward.

Sunday Gloria Geringer preferred Oakley to the Whippet, Bo-Bett’s Treasure Chest, the previously named Rottweiler, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Wedigit Paparazzi, the now familiar Maltese, the Tibetan Spaniel, GCH CH Shilo time for a Good Time, and the Smooth Collie, GCH CH Row-Bar’s Heartbreaker.

The two BIS plus three Group Ones earlier in the week in California, brings Oakley within 500 points of being Number One Dog All Breeds.  Are you having fun watching this?  Because we are having a ball.
