THREE DAYS IN EDISON NJ

GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari

Our next stop is in Edison NJ where one little dog, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari,  took advantage of the big points available offered, taking home two of the three all breed rosettes, Friday’s New Brunswick Kennel Club show and Sunday’s Bronx Kennel Club show.   The set was preceded by four limited breed shows, the Big Apple Sporting Society, the Progressive Dog Club, the Non-Sporting Group Club of the Garden State, and the Herding Group Association of New Jersey.

Joey and handler Ernesto Lara were joined on Friday in Christine Calcinari’s final by the Golden retriever, GCH CH Summit’s Emery It’s in the Bag, the Borzoi, GCH CH Raynbo 's Run For The Roses, the Standard Schnauzer, CH Celtic Cross Steele Pride, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Wonderland's Heavily Armed Agitator, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Hilsman Bandog Holy Moses!, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Propwash Reckon.

However, at the NBKC’s day two show on Saturday, judge Richard Beauchamp would see a mostly new seven, the Flat Coat Retriever, GCH CH Blazin's Joie De Vivre, CD, JH, the aforementioned Borzoi, the Bullmastiff, GCH CH Dal Primo's B'Mew Just In Queso, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Larkspur Acadia Save Me a Spot, the Maltese, CH Ta-Jon’s Pawstively Pawparazzi, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Spotlight’s Ruffian, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Pine Hill's Payday Of Hayshill.

His BIS was the Lakeland, Spot.  Spot has been the top winning Lakie in the US for the last two years.  Saturday’s win was his third all breed Best of the year.

Sunday, Spot & Joey were back, along with the above named Golden & GSD, to see BIS judge Eric Ringle.  Rounding out the final were the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Whirlaways Ida Belle's A Ringing,  the Doberman Pinscher, CH Cambria's Omen, and the Xoloitzcuintli, GCH CH Bayshore Georgio Armani.

The two wins brings Joey’s 2012 take to eight BIS.  More importantly, the weekend netted Joey better than 3000 all breed points, putting much closer to a Number One Toy ranking.

  1. Spot the lakeland wasn't a british bred dog. Born and raised right here in the states. Bred by Maria Sacco, Norman & Lynda Kenney & Susan Fraser

  2. Billy - I think you'll find that the Lakeland was bred & born in the USA.
