ANCHORAGE AK

GCH CH Pem We-Syng Lucky Mi

As is often the case, the last set of results to come in from the past weekend are from outside the lower 48.  Some of our more rugged fanciers were in Anchorage AK this weekend for the Tanana Valley Kennel Club & Anchorage Kennel club shows.

Saturday ended with Pat Trotter in the final ring with the Field Spaniel, CH Winfarthing Pride & Prejudice SH, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Mahali Arriva Meadowlark, the Tibetan Mastiff, GCH CH Dreamcatcher Major Victor of Loki, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine’s Highwayman, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Pem We-Syng Lucky Mi, the Miniature Poodle, Cabryn Frankly I’m The One and Only, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Melody’s North To Alaska.

Best went to smallest among them, the Chin, Mimi.  It’s the second BIS in the last two weeks for Mimi and  handler Nancy Martin.

GCH CH Alpine’s Highwayman

Sunday  Mimi & Nancy and four of their fellow finalists would join the Golden Retriever, CH Koria’s Life of the Party, & the Australian Shepherd, CH Melody’s Alaskan Gold Rush, in Gloria Geringer’s final.  She chose the rugged AmStaff, Jelly, as her Best.  It was the second of the year for Jelly,  the nation’s Number One American Staffordshire Terrier, and breeder/owner/handler Ed Thomason.
