The Corpus Christie Kennel Club’s two shows were the place to be for Texas fanciers this weekend. Dr Ronald Spritzer got the first look on Saturday with a final line up of the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Kan-Point's Leading The Chase, the Wirehaired Dachshund, GCH CH. Raydachs Playing With Fire V Gleishorbach SW, the Akita, GCH GCH CH Sherob Stardus It Had To Be You, the Scottish Terrier, CH Kelwyn's History In The Making, the Blenheim & Prince Charles English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Royalist Ready to Reign, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Saks Hamelot Little Drummer Boy, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Aubrey's Tails Of Mystery.
Day one went to one of Texas’ favorite sons, the Bichon, Drummer. Drummer and handler Scott Sommer finished 2011 as the Number Ten Dog All Breeds with 25 BIS & 92 Non-Sporting Groups. Congratulations to Scott, breeders Sandra & Keith Hanson & Shirley & Richard Hamilton, and owners Barbara Weidner, Laurie Darman, Kim Griffin, & Cecelia Ruggles.
Drummer and the aforementioned Dachshund & Akita were back on Sunday to see BIS judge Bev Capstick along with the Welsh Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Clussexx Red Dragon, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Skyscot's Texas Hold'Em, the Papillon, GCH CH Copella's Rising Attraction, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Margaux's Kelly At Limerick.
Correction to the Saturday results, the Akita won the working group both days: Akita, GCH CH Sherob Stardust It Had To Be You.
