KENNESAW KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare

After a whirl wind three days of meetings with prospective wedding vendors and visits to reception venues of all types, we are happy to be back reporting show results.  Before we start with this week’s shows we owe you the results from this past weekend’s Kennesaw Kennel Club in Marietta GA.

On Saturday Ken McDermott’s BIS was the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare.   Also throwing their hat in the ring were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Brookwood Diamond in the Ruff, the Otterhound, CH White River’s He’s A Keeper!, the Black Russian Terrier, GCH CH Lancelot Chiornyy Prints RN, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Bruhill’s First Lady, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Bandog’s Bayou The Warrior, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Taliesin Fashion Forward.

His BIS was the MinPin, Classie.  Classie, the Number Three Toy Dog, has collected 18 BIS this year, seven in the last five weeks.

GCH CH Myshara’s Dream Girl

Classie was the only one of the Saturday finalists to return to the last ring on Sunday to see BIS judge Arlene Benko.  The six new faces were the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Reece Afterhours The Buck Stops Here JH, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Lochnaw Something Good, the Great Dane, GCH CH Echolane-Dalin’s Beyond a Shadow of Doubt, the Miniature Schnauzer, CH Repetition’s Valedictorian, the Shiba-Inu, GCH CH Lee-Fen’s An Everlasting Love, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Myshara’s Dream Girl.

Taking home the big rosette was the Aussie, Beyonce.    The country’s Number One Australian Shepherd now has five BIS for the year.

  1. Billy, I really enjoy your dog show updates but did I miss the date of the wedding? When is it?

  2. The wedding is still a year away, November 10, 2012. Happily, that's usually a slow dog show weekend. lol. Surprisingly, some of the venues, wedding planners, & caterers are already booked. If the past three days are any indication, it's going to be a long year.
