Thanks to a generous reader we have results from this weekend’s Arkansas Kennel Club’s two shows in the state capital, Little Rock.

Saturday, Sari Tietjen’s final consisted of the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Glengowan's Great Balls of Fire, the 15" Beagle, GCH CH Belcanto Flags A'Flyin, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria's Lucky Charm, the West Highland White Terrier, CH Laurelwynds Bekka O Sweetshounds, the Japanese Chin, GCH Kelaury Good Luck From We-syng, the GCH CH Dante Fire When Ready HOF, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Copperridge's One Time Offer.

Her BIS was the Golden, Jerry Lee.  It was the first this year for Jerry Lee.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Richard Caldwell, owner Patti Caldwell and handler Christopher Keith.

On Sunday, Jerry Lee was back to see BIS judge Dr Donald Gill along with the above named Westie & Schipperke, the Borzoi, GCH CH Wildwood Fiery Run Out of my Dreams, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Chancellor High Flyin' Gladiator, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH Brackley He's My Warrior, and the Finnish Lapphund, CH  Sugarok Born in the USA.

Closing out the set was the Westie, Bekka.   It was Bekka’s first weekend out as a special.  We call that quite a start.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Diann & William Singletary, owners Bob & Susan Ernst, and handler Jody Pacquette.

  1. Congrats to young Mary Lee, who showed the Kuvasz "Zoe" to her second Group 1 of the year on Saturday!

  2. Jerry Lee has only been out of retirement this year since the Dallas shows in early July. He has defeated enough dogs already to be a top 20 Golden (all breed) as of the end of August. Way to go Christopher! Jerry Lee has never looked better than he does with you now.

  3. That Group First for the Finnish Lapphund was the first for the breed, since recognition on June 30, 2011.
