WESTERN RESERVE KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice

Roger Gifford closed the four day weekend in Cleveland OH today, calling the BIS for the Western Reserve Kennel  Club.  His options were the Irish Setter, GCH CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Cammcastle’s Friar Tuck, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Pekingese, GCH CH Pequest One Moment In Time, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Quiche’s Glamour Girl.

It was the Smooth Fox Terrier, Dodger, grabbing the BACK2BACK BIS and 2143 points.  This will send our Top Two Dogs down to the wire.  There are only four shows left in the US this year.  Read all about them here.

YES!!!! We are so very happy for Amy! Dodger is about as close to perfection as you can get. A once in a life time dog. You can tell there is a great friendship in this team and it shows. Dodger is the ultimate smooth and Amy is the unltimate handler. They will always be #1 #1 #1 !!!!

  3. Three big BIS for the weekend for Dodger, beginning with three resounding wins over Adam, the other top Smooth. Dodger is at the top of his game and, for now, at the top of the world!

    What a team!

  4. What happened in PA?
And we never got the complete results
    From Florida yesterday...
    Is this one sided?

  5. I think there are only four shows. There is no Monday in Chicago this year. How close is the race going into San Mateo?

  6. I couldn't agree more, Carolyn! Never seen a better Smooth since I started paying attention to show dogs in 1978! He's our Secretariat! Of course, I am somewhat biased...lots of my dogs are back there behind him. :-)

  8. I found it a very bad taste to mention who you beat. Whoever mention the great Adam should never posted that. That is very low class.
Malachy fans and the great David never went that low.
Lets keep this in a higher lever. Adam beat Dodger many times and those wins never had Dodger's name mentioned.

  9. Adam and Dodger have been shown against each other 15 times. Adam has won over Dodger 9 times (which includes a Best Op win to Phoebe at Hatboro '09), and Dodger has won the other 6 times.

Just to get the facts straight.

  10. This feels like it's not about the dogs anymore. It's about human competition and human ego. Very sad. Something's been lost in the relentless drive to be #1. As if the dogs themselves care!

  11. I think this breed is fortunate to have such quality. It just raises the bar. Good for both Smooths and the entire fancy.

  12. 105 Best in Show titles, I was lucky enough to witness several this year! Dodger is an outstanding representative of the breed and a fierce competitor--handled superbly by Amy Booth. A tremendous effort, a great campaign, congratulations to Dodger's owners Howard and Sandra Hoffen / Phil and Amy Booth as well as the Blue Rose Team!

  13. I wish more people could have been as lucky as I was to see the two compete against each other this weekend in Cleveland. It was like a football game....rows and rows of people. Amazing!
