Yosemite Valley

We have a busy dog show week ahead with 32 all breed shows in 13 different locations. It all starts tomorrow in Merced CA, gateway to one of the world’s most magnificent sites, Yosemite National Park. The Yosemite Kennel Club & Sierra-Tuolumne Kennel Club will team up for four shows.

Upper Yosemite Falls

Three day weekends are available in West Springfield MA from the Trap Falls Kennel Club, the Troy Kennel Club, & the Great Barrington Kennel Club; in Columbiana AL hosted by the Birmingham Kennel Club, & the Tuscaloosa Kennel Club; in Valley Center KS courtesy of the Hutchinson Kennel Club, the Salina Kennel Club, & Wichita Kennel Club, and in Glendale AZ brought to you by the Kachina Kennel Club & the Arrowhead Kennel Club.

The Ahwahnee Hotel at Yosemite

The remaining shows are standard two day affairs with the Piedmont Kennel Club in Charlotte NC, the Greater Orange Park Dog Club in Elkton FL, the Shenandoah Valley Kennel Club, Harrisonburg, VA, the Saginaw Valley Kennel Club in Birch Run MI, the Kennel Club Of Yorkville, Illinois in De Kalb IL (They couldn’t find a site in Yorkvillle?), the Terry-all Kennel Club in Brighton CO, the San Jacinto Kennel Club in Crosby TX, and the Timberland Valley Dog Fanciers Association in Centralia WA. Where ever you are in the US you can make it to a dog show this weekend. Why not visit one of the shows in Merced and then have a cocktail at the Ahwahnee? It’s as close to roughing it as we get.

  1. I always enjoy your prelude to the weekend shows! Love those pictures! Thanks for keeping us 'in the know!'
