ALASKA RESULTS

CH Polar Mist War Admiral

We don’t often report on the results of shows in our 49th & 50th states, Alaska & Hawaii. That’s primarily because we don’t have access to results, which is too bad because many times the dogs competing are never seen down in the lower 48. So we are pleased to bring you the results of this weekend’s shows in Anchorage AK. On Saturday Robert Slay’s final for the Tanana Valley Kennel Club included the Labrador Retriever, CH Double Dutch D'Artagnion RN JH OAP AJP, the Basset Hound, CH Sasquatch Double Exposure, the Samoyed, CH Polar Mist War Admiral, the West Highland White Terrier, CH Serendipity's Crazed About You, the Havanese, CH Windfall's Chain Reaction, the Standard Poodle, Instyle Hot Off The Runway, and the Border Collie, CH Abfab's Hot Toddy. Somehow it seems appropriate that a Nordic breed, the Samoyed, Riker, was his BIS. Congratulations to breeder Lynette Blue, owner Laurie Olsson, and handler Nancy Martin on Riker’s first Best of 2010.

CH Parisans Helo Of Riverridge

Sunday the host was the Alaska Kennel Club and Dana Cline was the judge. The seven finalists were the Curly-Coated Retriever, CH Pizzazz Trigger, the abovementioned Basset, the Rottweiler, CH Parisans Helo Of Riverridge, the previously named Westie, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, CH Sheeba Discover The Chief, the Chow Chow, CH Rosewine's Rockabili N Rhapsody , and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Donlee Jewel of Aquitaine. Congratulations to breeders Suzanne J Eikanger-Stoops & Pam Boles and owners Rod Ramsour, Todd Johnston & Suzanne J Eikanger-Stoops.

His Best was the OES, Georgie. This dog has only been shown in a handful of shows this year, but she has made the most of them, winning five very big shows. And suddenly, our top five is a very, very close race.
