The 2010 Louisville KY shows are now in the records books and they ended up being game changeRs for our national race. Yesterday, Houston Clark gathered the last seven standing from morerthan 3400 entries the Evansville Kennel Club show. They were the Irish Setter, CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Scottish Deerhound, CH Foxcliffe Hickory Wind, Friday’s BIS winner, the Boxer, CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Bedlington Terrier, CH Sangeo Farscape, the Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Standard Poodle, CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Bugaboo’s Georgie Girl. And the nation’s largest single prize of the year went to the Standard Poodle, Jetta, her second BIS of the weekend.

Today, it was James G Reynolds closing out the set with the same Deerhound, Boxer, Peke, Standard Poodle, & OES, the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, and The Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek. His Best was the OES, Georgie. This dog has only been shown in a handful of shows this year, but she has made the most of them, winning five very big shows. And suddenly, our top five is a very, very close race.

  1. Gorgeous Afghan, Mowgli, defeated Dylan in the breed 2 out of 4, got a Group Two on Sunday. He's breeder-owner handled, too!
