What is likely to be the biggest single event all year is in the record books, today’s Palm Springs Kennel Club’s day one show.

CH Starline Chanel

Lining up for judge Paula Hartinger were the Irish Setter, CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Whippet, CH Starline Chanel, the Akita, CH Mojo’s Rock’N Your World, the Border Terrier, CH Jen-Lar Secret Warrior Of Marilyn, the Pug, CH Winsome’s Trouble At Coral Bay, the Standard Poodle, CH Brighton Lakeridge Summer In The Hamptons, and the Shetland Sheepdog, CH PaRay’s Cirque Du Soleil.

Yesterday, she won the Inland Empire Hound Club of Southern California all Hound show and today, the Whippet, Chanel, took the largest prize to be had this year. Leave it to a Whippet to get a head start on the 2010 rankings race. Chanel was the nation’s number one Whippet in 2009, taking home seven all breed BIS last year. Congratulation’s to breeders/owners Lori & Carey Lawrence and handler Lori Turner-Wilson.

  1. A lovely, lovely whippet - a personal favourite since I saw her pic when she was a pup. Congrats to her breeders, owners and her handler.
