KANSAS & TEXAS SHOWS

Region Five, the South Central Region, had the most shows going this weekend with five sites holding shows. Here’s what happened in Kansas and Texas.

CH Shenandoah Smoke And Mirrors

In Lawrence KS, the Lawrence Jayhawk Kennel Club held two shows. Saturday it was Toddie Clark calling the BIS from the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, CH Flatbrook Royal Point Attitude, the Afghan Hound, CH Shenandoah Smoke And Mirrors, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Sno Klassic Play The Game, the West Highland White Terrier, CH Plum Creek Dis Amazing Grace, the Pug, CH Tupelo Shoboat Tu China Tu, the Dalmatian, CH TCJ N Satin Star Appeal, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Alydars California Poppy. BIS went to the Afghan, his third this year.

Sunday, five of Saturday’s finalists would be back to see Karen Wilson. Only the Golden Retriever, CH Toasty’s Treasure Island, and the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Chaoyang Chick Magnet At Asia, missed the previous day. Her BIS was the US’ number one Malamute, Player. Only two Working Dogs have won more groups than Player.

CH Hi-Kel Terrydale Soldier Of Fortune

Down in Canton TX, Kimberly Anne Meredith-Cavanna had a formidable group in the first day final of the Tyler Texas Kennel Club. They were the English Springer Spaniel, CH Capulet's Innovation, the Basenji, CH Ab-Rifiki The Icon Of Cool, the Boxer, CH, Lattalane's Kiss Me I'm Irish, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Hi-Kel Terrydale Soldier Of Fortune, the Pekingese, CH Franshaw Hear Me Roar, the Schipperke, CH Dante Fire When Ready HOF, and the Rough Collie, CH Slyvan Argent Simply Irresistible. BIS was the number three Terrier, Ranger. That’s her 23rd this year.

Sunday, Jerry Watson got to see Ranger, Saturday finalists, the Basenji, the Boxer, the Peke, & the Collie, and the English Cocker Spaniel, CH Ivywood's Aces And Eights, & the Dalmatian, CH Dsigned By Amera. He would go with the Peke, giving her ten all breed Bests this year.
