No group epitomizes the British dog fancy like the Terrier Group. Most of the 27 Terrier breeds hail from the British Isles. So we proudly report that two AKC dogs went Best and Reserve (second) in today’s Terrier Group at the world’s largest dog show, Crufts. The Sealyham Terrier, CH Efbe’s Hidalgo At Goodspice, was selected Best In Group and the Scottish Terrier, CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot, was awarded Reserve. Now, we are aware that Sealie, Charmin, was born in Canada, but we are counting him as one of our own.

We found that the Crufts website, like our Jaguar, is not the most reliable vehicle, but we did find these two links of interest. You can get Crufts results here and, streaming live TV (take that BBC!) here.

  1. Thanks for the link, Billy.

I registered on the Crufts site for video on demand and watched the terrier group. There were some very beautiful dogs in that lineup and Charmin looked absolutely spectacular.

Congrats to Margery Good, Sandra Middlebrooks and breeder France Bergeron. I hope they go all the way.

  2. Thanks for the news about Margery Good and Charmin!

  3. Attached are two video links. One is of Charmin in the ring (what a mover!) and Margery's interview afterwards.

The other is an interview with Peter Green from the Eukanuba sharing his thoughts about his lifelong dream of judging Best in Show at Crufts.

They're very insightful and worth a listen.

  4. Attached are two video links.

One is of Charmin in the ring at Crufts (what a mover he is!) and an interview with Margery Good after their group win.

The other is with Peter Green taken at the Eukanuba sharing his excitement about realizing his lifelong dream of judging BIS at Crufts.

The're very insightful and worth a listen.
