BEFORE GAS PRICES RISE TOO HIGH

We have a few more options this week than last with nine different sites hosting all breed shows this week in the US.  While most will be of the two day, Saturday/Sunday variety, those of you with leisure time to burn will have ample opportunity to do so.

Floridian exhibitors are still hanging out in the panhandle spending Thursday & Friday in Fort Walton Beach with the Okaloosa Kennel Club before motoring over to Pensacola for a weekend with the Pensacola Dog Fanciers Association.  They will do it up big time in Scottsdale AZ beginning with the Terrier only Sun Country Terrier Club tomorrow and following with two all  breed shows courtesy of the Superstition Kennel Club and then two more all breed shows from the Scottsdale Dog Fanciers Association.   For those of you on the west coast with easy access to I-5 (and who of you don’t have easy access to I-5) visit California’s bread basket, the San Joaquin Valley, where the Sequoia Kennel Club & the Kings Kennel Club Of California will kick off a four day stay in the town of Hanford.

The rest of us will choose one of the two show weekends offered by the Hilton Head Island Kennel Club in lovely Hilton Head SC, by the Detroit (MI) Kennel Club, by the Wisconsin Kennel Club in West Allis WI, by the Belle City Kennel Club at Purina Farms in Gray Summit MO, by the Faith City Kennel Club Of Wichita Falls (TX), or in paradise with the Hawaiian Kennel Club in Honolulu HI.

Spring is just around the corner.  Now is the time to get out and enjoy this great country of ours and see some of the great purebred AKC dogs.  Do it now….before gas prices rise to $5.00 a gallon.

It was the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction with the breakout performance winning BACK2BACK BIS against the toughest lineup we have seen outside of Westminster, taking both Friday’s Blackhawk Kennel Club show as well as the day one IKCC event.  On Friday London and handler Ann Rairigh were joined in Colin Hamilton’s final by the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Quiet Creek's Kiss And Tell, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Camcastle’s Friar Tuck, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Castle Rock's S Bigstaff Mad About You, the Pekingese, GCH CH PalaceGarden Malachy, and our new DOG2WATCH, the German Shepherd Dog, CH Bandheim’s Captain Crunch.

GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction

The big finale at Sunday’s IKCC day two show belonged to the country’s Number One Dog Allbreeds, the above named Black Cocker Spaniel.  Judge Carl Liepmann might have chosen London, the previously mentioned Peke or GSD, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Field’s Bahama Sands, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream,  or the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH SlyfoxSneaks A Peek, but he didn’t.  The Cocker, Beckham, and handler Michael Pitts now have seven BIS this year and twice the number of points of the Number Two Dog.
