With over 2000 dogs competing, today’s Bucks County Kennel Club show in Erwinna PA is one of the country’s larger shows and this weekend’s big prize.  The lucky seven who made it to Walter Goodman’s final were the Irish Setter, CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Basenji, Wakill Signet Dooney, The Giant Schnauzer, CH Skansen’s  C’Sofia Of Grandeur, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Foxlorr Double Dare, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash JP Moonwalk, the Lowchen, CH Chic Choix Bihar Cuba, and the Briard, Ne Orageux’s Al Capone.  His Best was the Irish Setter, Emily.  Emily & handler Adam Bernardin have one of the most impressive resumes in dogdom with twelve all breed Bests, including some of the most prestigious in our sport.  This one makes the Number One Dog All Breeds title a toss up.  We will have to wait for the weekend's final numbers to be certain.

BIG TERRIER WINS

CH Fleet St Fenway Fan

Today’s Bucks County Kennel Club show has over 2200 dogs entered, thanks, in part, to an unusually large Terrier entry left over from Friday’s Garden State All Terrier Club event.  Kerry Lee did the honors at the Terrier show choosing as his top four, the Irish Terrier, CH Fleet St Fenway Fan, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH High Mountain River Run, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Travella Stage Star, and the Scottish Terrier,  Lomondview Clementina, in that order.  The Irish, Fynn, has been the Number One Irish Terrier these last two years.  He and handler RC Carusi have been particularly dominant in the Terrier Group winning 19 Groups this year, including last month’s Columbia Terrier Association Of Maryland, which had nearly 700 entries.  That puts Fynn in the Top Five Terriers, based on group wins.
