SUNDAY IN SAVANNAH GA

GCH CH Shaireab’s Bayleigh Maid of Honor 

The Beaufort Kennel Club had the Sunday spot in Savannah GA and asked judge James Frederiksen to choose a BIS and RBIS. His options were the English Setter, GCH CH Stargaze'R 'N Wingfield Wait Wait Don't Tell, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Tashtin’s Lookin for Trouble, the Boxer, GCH CH Mephisto’s Speak of the Devil, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shaireab’s Bayleigh Maid of Honor, the Silky Terrier, Lamplighter’s Tattle Tail, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Merry Go Round Coach Master, and the Smooth Collie, GCH CH Alexy Handsome Devil. 

GCH CH Mephisto’s Speak of the Devil 

Finishing one/two were the Welsh Terrier, Jennie, and the Boxer, Devlin. Jennie is the Number Seven Dog All Breeds with 23 BIS and 91 Terrier Groups.

SUNDAY IN WESTMINSTER MD

GCH CH Cerise Celtic Thunder 

We start our Monday Morning Mop Up in Westminster MD where the Northeastern Maryland Kennel Club closed the two day stop with judge Lee Brown in the final ring. The seven dogs that stayed all day to see him were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Cerise Celtic Thunder, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Stonewall Jackson, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Alisaton Saboteur V Raklyn Ciden, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH McVan’s To Russia with Love, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Touche’s Top Hat And Tails At Samskara, the Lhasa Apso, GCH CH Ta Sen I Won’t Dance Don’t Ask Me, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Whisperwood’s Wild Horse.

AIREDALE TWOFER IN MA

 The Airedale Terrier, GCH CH Joval Sweet Time, made it two in a row, following her BIS Saturday with another Sunday in Worcester MA at the Worcester County Kennel Club’s day two show.

Judge Gloria Geringer also considered the Brittany, CH Triumphant Absolut Evel, the Basenji, GCH CH Akuaba N Eldorado Bungle In The Jungle, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Von Wilhelm’s Over the Rainbow, the Pug, GCH CH Charchen’s Billy The Kid, his RBIS, the Schipperke, GCH CH DeLaMer Overboard, and the RBIS, the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Classical’s My Turn CGC. The win brings Splenda’s 2014 record to five BIS and 28 Group Firsts.

GCH CH Promenade Pay It Forward

Our lone west coast venue this week is in Woodland CA, some 20 miles outside of Sacramento. The Santa Cruz Kennel Club had the Saturday spot and asked judge Gloria Kerr to take the final ring. Her seven options were the Field Spaniel, GCH CH Promenade Pay It Forward, the Norwegian Elkhound, GCH CH Vin-Melca’s Daggarwood Delight, the Akita, GCH CH Mojo's Continuation Of A Myth, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Absolutely Talk of the Town, the Pug, GCH CH Pocket’s Jato Jetliner, the Keeshond, GCH CH Skyline’s Unit Of Measure, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Legacy’s Chance of A Lifetime.

Taking home the BIS was the Field Spaniel, Gideon. Picking up the RBIS was the Smooth Fox, Taylor. Gideon is this year’s Number Three Sporting Dog with 14 BIS and 52 Group Firsts.

SATURDAY IN YUMA AZ

GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect 

Saturday was day two in Yuma AZ for the hometown Yuma Kennel Club and AKC’s Number Two Dog All Breeds, the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect, was judge Dr Gareth Morgan-Jones’ Best In Show. 

GCH CH Telltale American Ride 

Joining them in the final ring were the RBIS, the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Telltale American Ride, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH M&M's Fear The Beard, the Boxer, GCH CH Hijinx This Is How I Roll, the Cairn Terrier, GCH CH Hjohoo's Save Hjour Love For Me, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Hitimes What the Inferno, and the Lhasa Apso, GCH CH Rufkins Hunk Of Burnin Love. 

Swagger is the winningest Old English Sheepdog in history with 110 career BIS. This year Swagger has garnered 86 BIS and 131 Herding Groups.

SATURDAY IN CONROE TX

GCH CH Tells Matrix Reloaded 

The Conroe Kennel Club is hosting two shows in their Texas hometown this weekend. Saturday’s show ended with judge Danelle Brown in the final ring with seven multiple BIS winners, the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Ehrenvogel Achy Breaky Heart, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Tells Matrix Reloaded, the Mastiff, GCH CH Goldleaf's Trouble Coming CGC, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, GCH CH Cumhill Hell Raiser, the Papillon, GCH CH InVolo The King of Pop, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Saks Winning Card, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Riverside Telltail Coco Posh.

 She chose as her BIS the Afghan, Matrix, and the Bichon, Bingo, as her RBIS. Matrix is the country’s Number Four Hound with 17 BIS and 65 Hound Groups.

The nation’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, collected his 225th career Best In Show (the second highest in AKC history)  at Saturday’s Ingham County Kennel Club show in East Lansing MI.

Joining Matisse in judge Betty-Anne Stenmark’s final were the Welsh Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Trystyn Statesman Cactus Blue, the Reserve winner, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Flessner’s International S’Cess, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Tsarshadow Kentucky Windage At Foxheart, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Rocket Power, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Shine’s Deck the Halls, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv’s Sultry Sensation.

Matisse’s 2014 tally is 130 BIS and 168 Working Groups, the best one year total in AKC history…and we still have two more weeks to go in the season.

The Pomeranian, GCH CH Starfire's Spank Me Hard Call Me Crazy, was judge Dana Cline’s BIS at the Savannah Kennel Club’s Saturday encore in the Georgia city.

Challenging Spanky were the Brittany, GCH CH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Tashtin’s Lookin For Trouble, the Boxer, GCH CH Mephisto’s Speak Of The Devil, the RBIS, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shaireab’s Bayleigh Maid of Honor, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, and the Smooth Collie, GCH CH Alexy Handsome Devil. Spanky has five BIS and 21 Toy Groups this year.

Judge James Martin was in Westminster MA for to call the final at Saturday’s Chesapeake Kennel Club Of Maryland show. His seven hopefuls were the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Robin Crest Edelmarke Investigator, the Black & Tan Coonhound, GCH CH Bayaway Jersey’s Due Process Of Law, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Alisaton Saboteur V Raklyn Ciden, the Norfolk Terrier, GCH CH Yarrow Venerie Ticket To Ride, the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, GCH CH Sonnus Filho (Sanchez), the Xolitzcuintli, GCH CH Bayshore Giorgio Armani, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Mar Haven’s California Dreamin’ HT.

Taking the BIS was the Doberman, Tre. Collecting the RBIS was the Chihuahua, Sonnito. It was the first BIS for Tre and breeder/handler Gwen DeMilta. Dr Bianchi also considered the Pointer, GCH CH Hipoint Here Comes The Sun, the Pharaoh Hound, GCH DC Hallam’s Jake Of Arolet SC, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Von Wilhelm’s Over the Rainbow, the Prince Charles English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Sanchi Pleasant Surprise, his RBIS, the Schipperke, GCH CH DeLaMer Overboard, and the Puli, GCH CH Fuzzy Farm If Not Now, When?. It was the fourth BIS in 27 trips to the final ring for Splenda and handler Adam Bernardin.
